Greetings from America! We arrived here in North Carolina last night after over 24 hours of travelling. We were so, so tired but also SO, SO excited!

After a good night sleep we had a picnic with our host families and other Rotarians. It is so amazingly beautiful here at Blowing Rock! After picnic we went hiking and than to Manor House, admiring the view and local handicrafts and art. Our first day in America ended with a great dinner party at Jim's and Karen's beautiful home.

Basically everyone we have met so far and especially our friendly hosts Kathryn and Wayne, John and Della, and Jim and Karen have been so great and made us feel so welcome, that we can only be really grateful for everything they have done for us.

We can still feel the time difference (7 hours) in our eyes, so now it is time to get some sleep. Tomorrow we are gonna join the Rotary club meeting and have some individual activities. Looking forward to it!
