What a vocational day. I visited five different places and was following two different meetings: department of social and health services, private nursing home and day center for senior citizens. It was important to see that although there are differences between our public service systems, there are similarities in our working practices too. The client work process of the social work seems to be much the same in the USA and Finland, the daily program of senior citizens' day center looked very similar,  we share the same health problems as, I think, each western countries: cancer, heart diseases, obesity, type 2 diabetes etc.

I want to thank you each of you I've met and especially my hosts for your time. I think I already have many experinces I can share with my students when I next time meet them and we are talking about global social policy.
