Today in Madison County was full of individual vocational visits. I went first to a local diner with my guide O'Neill and my hostess Kirsten. There I ate my new favourite breakfast grits, tried some weird bisquit stuff and met at least half of the people who live in Mars Hill!

With O'Neill we continued to a local radio station and newspaper in Marshall. It was so interesting to disguss with American journalists!

In the afternoon our group (except Johanna) had some cultural programmein Madison County arts council

Musician Laura Boosinger played us some bluegrass music with banjo and sang so beautifully that it really touched us deeply.

Visiting the court house of Madison County was an experience. Everything was just like we have seen in movies! We got really excited there, asked a lot of questions and even tried how it would feel to be a judge or a witness in court room!

In the evening we had a lovely dinner here at Kirsten´s and Annie's place. They are the most wonderful hostesses and the lasagne was AWSOME!

I missed the cultural program, but instead, I was following a meeting with my host Tom. Tom and his colleagues had a meeting about their Haiti project. The group was working very effectively compared to our meetings in Finland: Me and my colleagues should learn to make decisions more effecively and hold to our decisions!
